  1. The rescue of Lomolo - 12/4/2008

    A lone bull calf, obviously an orphan of approximately 16 months old, and therefore still milk dependent, was sighted on Loisaba Ranch at 9 a. (read more)

  1. A joyous Event - Mpenzis new calf - 11/25/2008

    The rescue of Orphan Mpenzi, was unique in that she was found on her own aged approximately 8 months below the Park Headquarters, by the Keepers and other orphans. (read more)

  1. The rescue of a young elephant - Tsavo East National Park - 11/8/2008

    On the 24th October The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trusts Tsavo Mobile Veterinary Unit (Funded by Vier Photen) was called upon to rescue a young elephant stuck at the Aruba borehole, in Tsavo East National Park. (read more)

  1. Auction of handmade glass pendants to raise funds for elephant orphans a huge success - 11/7/2008

    DSWT supporter and artist Heather Webb created eight one off lampwork glass pendants with each piece named after a specific orphan. (read more)
